Additional The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey Information
|
The fabulous foursome readers embraced as The Mysterious Benedict Society is back with a new mission, significantly closer to home. After reuniting for a celebratory scavenger hunt, Reynie, Kate, Sticky, and Constance are forced to go on an unexpected search--a search to find Mr. Benedict. It seems that while he was preparing the kids' adventure, he stepped right into a trap orchestrated by his evil twin Mr. Curtain.
With only one week to find a captured Mr. Benedict, the gifted foursome faces their greatest challenge of all--a challenge that will reinforce the reasons they were brought together in the first place and will require them to fight for the very namesake that united them.

What Customers Say About The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey:

"The Perilous Journey" is the second in the Mysterious Benedict Society trilogy.(The third and final is "The Prisoner's Dilemma".at least, the author wraps upeverything very nicely in the third volume. He could certainly still write moreadventures for this group if he chooses).I recommend all three books (to be read in order, of course) as easy enough fora bright child to understand, smart enough for a young adult to enjoy, and withenough insight, sly satire and heart to entertain adults as well. Humor, excitement, interesting and eccentric characters.A new book that has so much to offer to such a wide audience. Reminds me of the great Edwardian children'swriters, who never got bogged down in "writing for children."
Fast delivery and if this book had been cracked at all, it must have been by a little old who took it out to read on Sundays and didn't open it more than an inch. Pristine condition.
My eight year old grandaughter had read a previous book in the series and was thrilled to get this one. She "devoured" it.
